THISRegister or Login to Remove this AdOk, so my teachers have always told me to, "Push the air from your diaphragm", when I play, but I never really grasped the concept of what they meant. Whenever I take in air I imagine filling my diaphragm like a balloon, as I find it helps me to take more full breaths. But I just don't know how you can literally push the air with your diaphragm, I'm completely oblivious to how one can do this mentally! I've also been having trouble using my air effeciently. I remember back when I was 14 I could go a full four measures without taking a breath, but now I struggle to keep a pure tone and control at only three measures! Admittedly, I don't eat as often as I should, so if that is hindering my breath intake then I'll definitely be more proactive in improving my diet. Last but not least, are there any breathing exercises I can do that will result in me being able to take more air in? I'm also a track runner, so it would be a big help in that department too Thanks everyone!Im off soon for our weekend in Aviemore and hopefully some more snow for the dogs. Plenty of walks and fresh air what I need after Christmas and New Year :)Surely this should now be merged into that 'Musers You Miss' thread now?
