THIS She'll send two postcards to DS, and one to DD. My DD is the kind to (1) notice and (2) get hurt. They aren't bad or evil; just annoying. I asked MIL to include BOTH kids' names on the postcards, or to please make sure she sent a card for each. she had over the last year or so been kinder to DD and less smothering to DS. DD *always* notices (she's a remarkably observant child, unless it deals with dirty clothes on the floor ). one will come for DD tomorrow. I think she's just genuinely ignorant when it comes to the damage that preferential treatment can do. I didn't point it out to her, but I didn't take any pains to hide it either. MIL thinks (and has said) there is nothing wrong with favoring one over the other.Quick BG: For the most part, I can handle my IL's.I don't know what to do for DD.
