THIS The notes in the piece range from a pedal Db to the high A, and I have no trouble blasting out a ff low F, but it's the pedal Db, and Eb that are giving me trouble. I know how to double tongue, however I get tongue twisted after two 'da-ga'sta-ca's' and end up slowing down or stopping completely. When I practice I always start with long tones, however I can only sustain the pedal notes for a limited time; I also have trouble playing them louder than mf, is there anything I can do to help improve my pedal tones and their dynamics? As for the sixteenth notes, the piece goes at a very lively tempo, and it's no doubt that i'll have to double tongue the sixteenth notes. Our Wind Ensemble recently started working on Gustav Holst's "The Planets" movements (7 in total). I try and practice saying 'da-ga da-ga ta-ca ta-ca' over and over again, but I always lose focus and attempt to go at a very fast speed. I just can't seem to figure out how to get them in the brags topic. Any help would be appreciated
