THISFirst off all, I searched the forum (splasdamage and punksbusted) and internet for any help and some stuff but nothing seems to help Well, point is maps load extremely slow... 2-3 minutes for a map is not exceptional... the annoying thing is that I usually get kicked for no packet flow or pb init failure (i link that to the slow loading..)my specs:asus motherboardwinXP PROP4 2,4 GHz256 RAMgForce 4creative labs soundblaster live 5.1what i tried:latest drivers (gfx, sound, bios)com_hunkmegs combined with r_picmipnet_ip combined with net_portfreeing ram with cyberlatfastest config in ETre-installpb-updatesusing end-it-all max processes at the time I play is 26 (windows taskmanager)no fire-wall and no antivirus atmrouter, but shouldnt be any problem since all other things go perfect and i can actually play after loadingsome extra comments: the game itself runs perfect (only laggy at the start)! I know you'll be pointing at my RAM... But i find it strange that any other game (up to the most recent) goes perfect, even RTCW itself... This is the only game with issues...I consider you guys my last hope since no-one else could help me...GreetzAnybody else going? I'm giving up seeing a lot of good bands to get barrier for Pearl Jam. Can't please everyone though.I was wondering about some games, why isn't there a sports game where you play in first person?I mean, people can go online, and play a bit of basketballsoccerhockey (bar the positions and the substitutions) everyone can join and there is no 5 or 11 player limit.It would be this huge fieldrinkcourt, and the objective is to get more goals than the other team.The objective is to get the ballpuck into the net.Maybe make a ETQW mod where you play basketball, except with an ETQW twist.Something like you see a generator or some objective in both sides of the map that cannot be destroyed except by a specialized grenade (orange sphere maybe?) that both teams can use. The team then must frag the player with the grenade to get that grenade and then the player must prime and throw it at the generator to damage it a bit. The first to destroy the objective wins. The catch here is that there is a indestructible window surrounding the objective and the only way to damage it is to get the specialized grenade at the basketball rim sized hole at the top of the building that no one can go in. Also more damage is done when thrown at a greater distance.There are also dropoffs at the borders of the map and whoever falls off, lets say strogg have the grenade, then the grenade spawns near the GDF base.Too bad I don't know crack about programming.
