THIS Next dog was Spirit. After three dogs my back ached (but that is another story). The animals tend to be calmer then. Especially Spitit hates it.Good Boy!! :lol:Everyone knows toe nail clipping can be a struggle.Afterwards it came to my mind that I have seen on Animal Planet that they have used hoods or a towel to cover the wild animals eyes during vaccination, ID-marking etc. Anyway, while I was drying the first dog I found the nail clipper. They do it to minimalize the stress for the animal. Never has he been so calm during clipping before. He sat waited to he the beep - beep - beep - beep (as Dad punched in the code) and the it's a high pitched Beeeeeeep for the "clear the building" Well, as soon as the all clear tone went off Toby jumps up and runs for the door. He does this well, and he waits for me to tell him that it's ok to go. Toby must sit while we do this, so not to set off the motion sensors. I laid him down at the bath floor and by coincidence (spelling?) the towel was on his head so he could`nt see.Last night Maggie completed her 8 week puppy class! She has mastered all the basics (sit, stay, lie down, come, lead walking etc.I think he has now determined the difference in the tones. And Hallelujah, she didn`t move at all.) and I'm such a proud mum! :D She is far too clever for her own damn good though and I find that recently when I ask her to sit and stay she'll mess about doing half downs, sits, paws- anything that she knows is likely to get her a treat! Very cute, but annoying! Our trainer has suggested that she move onto the Intermediate class in January because she has done so well, I'll hopefully have got that bad habit kicked if I want to go again! :D. She fights like a soldier at war. (good boy :) )Well last night I think the light bulb went off in his head.Every night when we get ready to go home, the last thing we do is set the alarm. Did the same with the third and last dog with same result. I placed her on the floor and put the towel on her head covering her eyes.It worked for me, either it was just coincidental or not, I don`t know.
