vba wont use skin files from forums skin misc|sneaker sengine

THIS Is this something I can do with CMPS or am I better off somehow re-writing the existing pages?Ok i installed vba as a mainpage. Specials, new features, holidays etc.I was wondering if it were possible to use CMPS to create the loginregistration page that defaults when someone first comes upon the site and when they log off? My goal is to have the same page appear in both instances.otherwise it wont load the skin files.and i have added buttons to my skin which work perfect when on the forumsbut when in the portal they all look for the files in the root directory like gallery.php is my portal and forumsindex.so index. I'd like the ability to easily change it when I see fit throughout the year
