THISBasically, what Step 4 asks me to do is, if the volume of the frustum is less than some arbitrary value, ALTER THE VALUES THE USER ENTERED AND CALCULATE IT AGAIN.FAIL.There isn't even any provision in the spec for TELLING the user that he may have an incorrect value. If I came across this design in a piece of software I would nominate its creator for the nerd equivalent of a Darwin award. There is NO WAY this could be explained as ANYTHING other than a bug in the code.I realize this is most likely just something to make sure I use a decision block in the flowchart, but jeez. There are FUNCTIONAL ways to do this. Can't just stick it into a simple algorithm where it doesn't belong.[edit] just needed to make another note here... #5 is an epic fail in itself. A proper assumption is that error checking has already been done on the input values. No one in their right mind would ever assume the USER would always input correct values.[rant]So... what examples do you guys have of homework problem failures? Post them up!
