THISEveryone knows toe nail clipping can be a struggle. Especially Spitit hates it. She fights like a soldier at war. Yesterday I bathed the dogs one by one in the bath tub. After three dogs my back ached (but that is another story). Anyway, while I was drying the first dog I found the nail clipper. I laid him down at the bath floor and by coincidence (spelling?) the towel was on his head so he could`nt see. Never has he been so calm during clipping before. Next dog was Spirit. I placed her on the floor and put the towel on her head covering her eyes. And Hallelujah, she didn`t move at all. Did the same with the third and last dog with same result.Afterwards it came to my mind that I have seen on Animal Planet that they have used hoods or a towel to cover the wild animals eyes during vaccination, ID-marking etc. They do it to minimalize the stress for the animal. The animals tend to be calmer then.It worked for me, either it was just coincidental or not, I don`t know.Can anyone help??Due to a change in personal circumstances Flo's current owneris unable to take her. She is upset about this.All family members have been asked and sadly no suitable homehas been found. Trindledown Golden Oldies home is full (they even have a 16yo Boxer living there). The only other alternative is kenneling and at Flo's time of life this really isn't suitable.She is 11 yo at the moment and due to turn 12 yo this year.She's as fit as a flea. She's brindle and white.If she's kept in Hampshire area then the lady will pay for her food etc.Flo needs a quiet home who has plenty of room to share on their sofa.Also has plenty of love for a fit agile Boxer veteran who loves life.I'm not sure if she's spayed or how she get's on with other dogs.She did live with 2 others but these she knew all her life.
