THIS i left it. Thanks for listening to my rant.this happened to a friend of mine.it kept rebooting.Ideas?I have to work with people in England a few times a week over the phone and always the line sounds ****ty and the volume of the call is always very low. had very strange issue.i have similar machine.this was just friendly info, as i know many gamers run win2k to gain performance.today got home from work.oke, here goes:Yesterday evening i updated winupdates (some security, and a netdriver(intel)).and he ended up reinstalling win2k.still same.after SEVERAL trys (beleive me). I work with people all over the world and never have I experience such ****ty phones except for in South America. then.then "click" reboot.im ONLY telling you guys this because.did nothing besides that.then i rebooted in safemode. after i installed.i dont know whats the cause of this.problem solved.and it runs fine.did same updates (same netcard type). I am guessing if I did my research the Brits setup their telephone networks too. (no warning no nothing). and rebooted. (y)I am getting tis at the bottom of my VBA with archives enabled:Uncached templates: adv_portal_archivebits_exp (5)Uncached templates: adv_portal_archivebits_exp_head (1)Uncached templates: adv_portal_newsbits_attach_thumb (1)I am also missing the thread icons in the first column when archive is in center block position. i tried to reboot my comp. it got to just before the login window.
